ATLANTA — Fans will be able to attend Atlanta Braves games in 2020, just not in the flesh.
The team has announced “Braves Country Cutouts,” a means for fans’ images to be placed in seats in lieu of being there in person. The cost is less than some single-game tickets, a $50 donation to the Braves Foundation ($25 for A-List members).
There are rules for the photo.
— No selfies. The photo must be taken by someone else. The Braves suggest the photo be taken from a distance of four feet away. The picture must be high resolution.
— Only one person for photo.
— The image must be of you.
— Must be dressed in Braves gear or colors and standing in front of a blank background.
— Your face must be visible.
— Smile.
Atlanta is not permitting fans to wear any other team’s gear. Profanity or political messages may not be present. Each person with a Braves Country Cutouts account can purchase up to five cutouts.
Cutouts will be placed behind home plate. A specific seat cannot be requested and the cutout will remain in the same location all season. All cutouts will the same size.
Fans will be allowed to retrieve their cutouts at season’s end. Specific details have not been announced.
