Tift reports 140-plus virus cases

TIFTON – Tift County reported more than 140 new virus cases and one death during the past week, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Tift County’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 69 deaths related to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH early this week. 

Tift County has reported nearly 2,600 cases since the pandemic began earlier this year, according to the GDPH.

The county has reported about 275 Tift residents have been hospitalized because of the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH.
