TIFTON — Tift County will finally play basketball at home this weekend. However, the schedule has been heavily changed.

The varsity will only play one game. Saturday, the boys will host Westover at 6 p.m.

There will not be a girls game as Westover has informed Tift officials the Lady Patriots will not be playing. A junior varsity boys game will take place at 4:30 p.m.

Friday’s Lee County games have been canceled. Lee will be hosting a semifinal state football tournament game Friday night.

Attendance in the gym is being capped at 800. Athletic director Rusty Smith said tickets are first come, first served.

Smith said that fans must wear a mask inside the gym and they must keep it on. Social distancing is mandated as well.
