For those reluctant or hesitant to get the COVID vaccine, let me share my experience Thursday at the Tifton Regional Hospital ER.

My wonderful Aunt Edith was taken by ambulance earlier Thursday morning from the Rachael House in Sparks who are great and I went up soon after.
Although the overwhelmed state of things due in large part to the COVID-19 virus, the level of care was absolutely the best, from the entry area where the staff ensured everyone’s safety to the nurses, doctors, techs and in our case hospice as well as everyone else involved, they were excellent in all they do and all they did.
They were efficient, well trained, compassionate, and although tired and overworked, they remained very professional.
Aunt Edith passed away later that same night but we remain extremely grateful. She had a good long life. She was a wonderful Christian and she is now in her eternal home with Jesus but we will forever be grateful for the outstanding service which is why I will as soon as possible get the vaccine and encourage others to do the same.
This may be the only way I can do my part in helping but if everyone takes the vaccine it will go a long way.
And by the way, we happened to be in Tifton but all health care providers as well as hospitals are equally overwhelmed. I wish I remembered everyone’s name, but in reality, they all deserve a huge thank you.

Let’s do our part to slow the spread and get vaccinated.
