TIFTON — During the height of this summer’s heat, a cool place marked its grand opening with a ribbon cutting joining the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce.

Shannon Sledge and Kevin Williams are the owners of Automated Self Storage, a climate-controlled facility located at 1652 S. Carpenter Road. The duo spoke about their business at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“Automated Self Storage has been a project, ongoing for about two years,” Sledge said. “We are happy to serve Tift County with some of the absolute, finest units that you can provide.”

Sledge talked about the cleanliness and safety of the units.

Sledge praised his team and thanked everyone who supported them, including Colony Bank.

“We’re glad to be here in Tift County, finally glad to be open,” he said. “Thank you all for being here and thank you for your support,” Williams said.

Nearly everything at Automated Self Storage can be done online, including unit payments. Access is keyless, available through Bluetooth technology on phones.

Access is available 24 hours a day, as is security. Motion sensors in each unit enhance the security.

“You will be seen if you come to Automated Self Storage, so smile, you’re on camera,” Sledge said.
