Tift reports six virus deaths, fewer cases

TIFTON – While Tift County reported less than 100 new COVID-19 cases in the past week – the lowest numbers reported in the past few weeks, the county reported six virus-related deaths, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.
Tift County has reported 154 COVID-19-related deaths since the start of the pandemic – which is six more than reported last week, according to the GDPH.
Tift County has reported nearly 6,180 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, which is an increase of more than 70 cases in the past week, according to the GDPH, and more than 5,050 antigen cases, which is more than 100 than the number reported the previous week; antigen cases are results from rapid virus tests.
