Tift reports three virus deaths

TIFTON – While Tift County reported about 30 new COVID-19 cases in the past week – about the same number of cases from the previous week, the county reported three more virus-related deaths, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.
Tift County has reported 159 COVID-19-related deaths since the start of the pandemic — which is three more than reported last week, according to the GDPH. Tift reported eight virus-related deaths the previous two weeks.
Tift County has reported more than 6,240 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, which is an increase of about 30 cases in the past week, according to the GDPH, and more than 5,180 antigen cases, which is about 60 more than the number reported the previous week; antigen cases are results from rapid virus tests.
