Tift reports two virus deaths, about a half-dozen cases

TIFTON – While Tift County reported about a half-dozen new COVID-19 cases in the past week – about half the number of cases from the previous week, the county reported two more virus-related deaths, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.
Tift County has reported 162 COVID-19-related deaths since the start of the pandemic — which is two more than reported last week, according to the GDPH. Tift reported one virus-related death the previous week.
Tift County has reported more than 6,262 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, which is an increase of about a half-dozen cases in the past week, according to the GDPH, and more than 5,205 antigen cases, which is a handful more than the number reported the previous week; antigen cases are results from rapid virus tests.
