CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College baseball season of Henry Daniels has ended on an even higher note with a national award.
Daniels was one of nine players in America to win a 2022 NJCAA DI Baseball ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove. Manning first base, Daniels fielded at a .997 percentage.
A freshman from Moultrie, Daniels earned a GCAA Gold Glove earlier. According to ABAC stats, he made one error in 344 total chances and was part of nine double plays.
Daniels is the only Stallion on the national list, but not the only GCAA player. Brayden Eavenson of Andrew college won a Gold Glove for outfield play. Eavenson had no miscues on the year.
No slouch at the plate, he hit .321 in 2022 with 50 RBIs in 36 games. ABAC baseball has announced on social media that Daniels has committed to play for West Georgia next season.
