The main change is football. Martin said that Tift’s game at Northside (McConnell Talbert Stadium) will be Thursday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m. This will be the Blue Devils’ Region 1-6A opener.
Martin ran down a list of what had been switched because of weather. Some sports have yet to be determined.
Varsity softball has doubleheaders on back-to-back days. Tuesday will be as scheduled at Thomas County Central. Thursday’s homestand against Houston County will take place Wednesday instead.
Middle school football championships: The Colquitt County game will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the contest at Valdosta moving to 5 p.m. Wednesday. Colquitt has moved its high school game against Lincoln (Fla.) to Wednesday, necessitating that move.
9th grade football: Will take place Tuesday at Thomas County Central.
Junior varsity football: Thursday’s game has been postponed until after fall break.
