BALTIMORE — Former Tift County Blue Devil Travis Williams is continuing to make his dreams come true.

Recently, Williams reported he was to donate $10,000 to the CIAA on behalf of the HBCU All-Star game and CBS Sports.

“What a blessing from GOD to give back,” Williams tweeted. The presentation was made at the CIAA’s Basketball Media Day on Sept. 26.

Williams is working on the sequel to the HBCU All-Star game, which has been announced as being in Houston in 2023.

In between, is the annual HBCU All-Stars Challenge, set for Nov. 17-19 at Atlanta’s Morehouse College. More information is available at www.atlhbcuchallenge.com. Teams from the CIAA, SIAC, MEAC and SWAC have been invited as well as a pair of Atlanta high schools, Washington and Maynard Jackson. Washington is one of but 10 remaining GIA high schools in Georgia. Williams is a former head coach at Maynard Jackson.
