TIFTON — Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College’s soccer squad iwere scheduled to play South Georgia State in the GCAA semifinals Wednesday at 3 p.m. The match was to be in Douglas.

Should ABAC pull the upset, they would face off Oct. 29 with the Gordon State-Georgia Military College winner.

The Fillies finished up their regular season last week with a pair of home games. On Oct. 19, they fell in a 7-0 score against South Georgia State, then dropped a heartbreaker Oct. 22, 1-0, against Gordon State. The Lady Highlanders scored once in the first half, which stood the rest of the way.

The semifinal is not the only bright spot for ABAC. This week saw the GCAA name its 2022 All-Region teams, with three Fillies earning second team honors.
