TIFTON — Perfect weather and a large crowd greeted the Celebrate Creativity! Arts Festival Nov. 5.
The festival was centered around the Syd Blackmarr Arts Center and the Tifton-Tift County Public Library, with arts of all varieties spanning from Library Lane to Love Avenue.
Attendees could witness, participate in a variety of arts, — labeled as an “arts circus” — which were open to adults and children. Gaelic dancing took place in the library, with the sounds of Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” coming from Eddy Fabrizio Castellanos’ electric violin on the library steps.
Cris Lawson was among those creating art live. She could be seen painting the steeple of the Syd Blackmarr Center, whose original tenant was a church. Glass art was shaped in the parking lot of Shear Talent.
Artists using paint, pencils and wood as their mediums were located in the alley between the library and Syd Blackmarr Center, with products for sale. In front of the buildings on Love Avenue, parking spaces were closed off for writers to sell books and talk to their fans.
For the hungry, several food trucks were available on Library Lane and basked goods were sold in front of the library.
