Bostick to be inducted into Georgia chapter of National Wrestling Hall of Fame

FLOWERY BRANCH — Tifton’s Mike Bostick has been selected for induction in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, Georgia Chapter, as part of its Class of 2023.
A press release said the ceremony will take place April 23 at The Venue at Friendship Springs. Bostick is among seven “Lifetime Service to Wrestling” recipients.
Bostick’s bio stated he has 41 years of experience as a wrestling official. He has led the Sports Officials Association of Tifton, serving as its president, vice-president or secretary for 35 years. Bostick has been the lead official at more than 250 regular season tournaments.
Bostick was a top wrestler on Tift’s earliest squads and served as its team captain. A U.S. Navy vet, Bostick graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He spent 31 years with the Georgia Department of Transportation, retiring in 2009.
