Devil Diamond to host Tift-Valdosta scrimmage Thursday

TIFTON — Baseball will arrive a little earlier than anticipated at Tift County High School. The Blue Devils have bumped their scrimmage up by a day.

Tift, under head coach Greg Williams, will host Valdosta Thursday, Feb. 2 at 4:30 p.m. It will be First Responders Appreciation Night at Devil Diamond.

The scrimmage was initially set for Friday, but rain is predicted for that date.

The Blue Devils split games with Valdosta in 2022 en route to a 17-13 season. Legendary coach Bart Shuman has since returned to the Wildcats.
