Taking hold of the ceremonial scissors together, the employees of 24/7 Enterprises – from those of the local branch to Christopher Barrett, operations manager of Georgia, and Al Jean-Baptiste, company chief executive officer, – cut the ribbon on their business and bring it into the next stage.

TIFTON — Transportation services company 24/7 Enterprises is taking big strides to connect with one of its local communities.

The nationwide courier business celebrated its Tifton location’s recent joining of the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce Feb. 1.

Providing wholesale transportation services to various companies and organizations for nearly 23 years, the company opened its branch in the Friendly City in September.

By joining of the chamber, the company hopes to get closer to its newest community, as well as form partnerships with many of its members.

“Joining the chamber is important for our strategy: to reach out to the local companies because of what we want to do and what we want to see, who is in the area that could help us out, and at least make an effort for businesses in the community to know who we are and what we do,” said Al Jean-Baptiste, company chief executive officer. “That way, we can serve each other.”
