TIFTON — County commissioners shared their appreciation for the boundless service to the county from Amos Kimbrough, board of elections and registration member, at a recent Tift County Commission meeting.

The board of commissioners presented Kimbrough with a proclamation June 6 thanking him for more than 20 years of service to the Board of Elections and Registration and Tift County as a whole.

Tift County Commission Chairman Tony McBrayer praised Kimbrough not only for his decades on the board, serving many of them as its chairman, but for overseeing two voting precincts on this past Election Day and continuing to provide support to other county precincts throughout the day.

Kimbrough was unable to attend the meeting, but his fellow board member Pat Robinson was present to accept the proclamation on his behalf.

McBrayer encouraged his fellow residents to be mindful of Kimbrough’s service to his community and asked Robinson to pass along the county’s appreciation for his work.
