TIFTON — With any birthday comes a party, and Gray Ghost Comics certainly plans to celebrate their own birthday this weekend.

The local comic shop will be bringing a full day of events and festivities on Sep. 9 to help commemorate their fourth anniversary of business.

In addition to deals on nearly all store merchandise, patrons of the shop will have the chance to meet and greet with a collection of industry professionals.

Tiffany Grant, voice of Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion, comic artist and illustrator Jason Flowers, comic artist and author of Sheldorr: The Defender Todd Kelley, comic and storyboard artist Dan Fraga, Steve Ekstrom, writer and editor for Sumerian Comics, and animator for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and NBA 2K23 Carlos Mendienta will all be present throughout the day for meeting, greeting and autographs.

Many of the artists will also be selling some of their work, and some of Flowers’ pieces will be included as grand prizes in the event’s Blind Bag promotion.

Customers will have the opportunity to purchase one of these fifty bags for $40, which will contain a random assortment of store merchandise, including graded, vintage, and standard comics, Funko Pops, toys, coupons, and gift certificates, with the chance of obtaining original art drawn by Flowers.

Gray Ghost plans to host giveaways throughout the day as well, gifting rare Funko Pops, statues and figures, and comics to patrons. 

The birthday celebration will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and is completely free to the public. Entrants in the giveaways do not have to be present to receive their reward.
