County requests continued support of mental health services from state officials

TIFTON — Tift County hopes to continue supporting the improvement of mental health services, and have asked the higher levels of government in the state to do so as well.
County commissioners voted to approve a resolution pledging their support to the reform and improvement of mental health services during their Oct. 9 meeting.

The item was first discussed at their previous meeting Oct. 3, and was unanimously approved as part of their consent agenda.
This resolution will be submitted to the state’s elected officials, as well as the Association County Commissioners of Georgia, to ask them to continue working to improve services for mental health.
