TIFTON — It’s beginning to look a lot like McDonald’s Tifton Invitational time again. The two-day Classic returns Wednesday, Dec. 27 and Thursday, Dec. 28, with three basketball games each day at Tift County High School.

Six area schools will play, including the local Blue Devils who are 4-4 after splitting tournament games in Warner Robins last week. Others hail from Cook, Crisp County, Fitzgerald, Irwin County and Lanier County.  

Tonight’s schedule sees Crisp take on Fitzgerald at 5:30 p.m.; Cook versus Irwin at 7 p.m., with Tift in the main event against Lanier at about 8:30. Thursday, Lanier opens with Fitzgerald at 5:30, Cook and Crisp at 7 and Tift and Irwin at about 8:30.

Tifton Coke will provide recognition of our first responders, active duty/military, and our veterans with a token of appreciation.   I am sending you the game schedule for the tournament.  

Basketball won’t be the only entertainment over the two days. Local talent will perform between games and during halftime.

In addition, first responders and military veterans will be recognized at Thursday’s Invitational.
