TIFTON — The 47th annual Georgia Peanut Farm Show and Conference is set for Jan. 18 at Tifton’s UGA Conference Center.

Admission is free to the show, which will open at 8 a.m. and close at 2:30 p.m. Seminars on USA peanut production and seeds at 9 a.m. and 10:35, a.m., respectively, according to the event’s website. There will be a luncheon at noon, with an awards ceremony.

More than 100 agriculture-based organizations will be on hand, many of them listed being peanut-based.

A blood drive will take place throughout the day.

There will be door prizes, the grand prizes being a new peanut combine and $5,000, as well as several Grower Prizes.
