TIFTON — Three arrests were made Wednesday in Tift County on drug and weapons charges.

Tips and investigations led Tift County Sheriff’s Office investigators to 717 17-1/2 Street, according to a sheriff’s office statement.

The Tift County Sheriff’s Office High-Risk Entry Apprehension Team served a warrant leading to the arrest of three Tifton residents along with the recovery of firearms, crack cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl, the statement said.

A 36-year-old woman was charged with trafficking Schedule 2 drugs, two counts possession with intent Schedule 2 drugs, three counts of possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school grounds and three counts of possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a housing project.

A 39-year-old man was charged with possession of Schedule 2 drugs and outstanding warrants; a 17-year-old man was charged with possession of a pistol under the age of 18, the statement said.
