CORDELE — Tift County’s soccer seasons came to an end April 12 with a win and tie at Crisp County.

It was a 1-1 tie for the Blue Devils and a 9-2 win for the Lady Devils.

Abby Goddard scored four goals, said head coach Sherri Constable. Jordyn Shivers, Amy Deleon, Yareli Espinoza and Elli Warren netted the others.

Warren’s, her first of the year, was on a penalty kick. She had missed Tift’s previous game with a wrist injury.

Espinoza had three assists. Shivers, Caroline Dotson and Osiris Cordova also aided on goals.

Tift finishes the year 8-9-1, a win better than the last two seasons.

David Olguin continued his rapid rise during the year, with Tift’s goal against the Cougars. Crisitan Salazar made the assist.
