TIFTON — Tifton’s longstanding Days Inn on Highway 82 has been given a major upgrade — as well as a rebranding with the Hilton hotel touch.

Following a little more than three months of renovation and remodeling, owners and operators Williams Investment Company celebrated the grand opening of the hotel, Spark by Hilton, with a ribbon cutting May 7.

The new establishment comes equipped with several rooms sporting a cozy and comfortable aesthetic, as well as a laundry and fitness room, an outdoor pool, complimentary breakfast, and a small shopping area in the lobby where guests can grab quick refreshments.

Rick Williams, family owner and member of Williams Investment, reported that the hotel group had opened the hotel as a Days Inn some 20 years ago, but had been offered an opportunity by Hilton to rebrand and remodel under their banner.

Renovations began in November of last year and concluded with the hotel’s official reopening Feb. 28, Williams reported.

The Williams Investment Company is the owner and manager of five hotels in Tifton, those being the Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Inn and Suites, Country Inn and Suites, the newly opened Spark, and the La Quinta Inn and Suites, located just next door from Spark.

A longtime part of the Tifton community even beyond the hotels, the hotel group is eager to continue supporting and getting involved the area through their new establishment.
