ABAC’s Hayes competes at nationals

JOPLIN, Mo. — Whit Hayes saved his best for last, shooting a final round 75 at the NJCAA Div. II golf championship May 24.

Competing for Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Hayes turned in a +3 for the final and a +22 310 over the four days of the tournament, which took place at Joplin’s Twin Hills Golf and Country Club.

Hayes birdied five holes in the fourth round, including three in a row. He had 12 birdies over the 72 holes. The only competitor for the Stallions at nationals, Hayes tied for 55th individually.
