Community members are invited to pull up to the silver screen in their cars or bring a lawn chair and enjoy a showing of the documentary “Cycle of Memory,” a film chronicling the journey of two men across the country as they retrace the steps of their grandfather, who suffered from Alzheimer’s.
Amanda Brack, a member of the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, explained that the library had been given the opportunity to host an event of this caliber and had reached out to her organization to promote their cause, with both groups agreeing on making the event into a drive-in movie experience.
Alongside the evening screening, the Tiftarea Auto Club is expected to organize a car show of various top-of-the-line and vintage vehicles. Concessions, including popcorn, will also be made available.
The movie will begin Friday evening at 7:30. All proceeds and donations from the event will go to support the Alzheimer’s Association and its mission.
