Bodybuilding Show to Support Local Cancer Coalition

TIFTON — Night of the Gladiators returns Aug. 24 to the UGA Conference Center in Tifton. Promoters of this bodybuilding competition have organized a Cancer Dedication Benefit to support the Cancer Coalition of Ben Hill/Irwin Counties.

Hearts are being sold for the “heart board” for $1 each. Luminaries are being sold for $5 each. Hearts and luminaries are for cancer survivors and in memory of those who have been taken by cancer. All proceeds will go to the Cancer Coalition of Ben Hill/Irwin Counties, as well as a percentage of ticket sales from the bodybuilding show.

Jim and Maria Wells are co-promoters of the event. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to support this worthy cause”, said Jim Wells. Maria Wells said, “We appreciate the cooperation of Beth McIntyre of the Cancer Coalition of Ben Hill/Irwin Counties in helping us coordinate this event.”

The dedication and check presentation will be at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Night of the Gladiators Bodybuilding Competition at 5 p.m. Admission is $15 for Night of the Gladiators

Valdosta Health & Wellness Clinic is presenting Night of the Gladiators, which will also feature a health and fitness expo, which begins at 12:30 p.m.

Night of the Gladiators is a qualifier for the 2024 World Natural Powerlifting Federation Tournament of Champions. Those placing 1st-3rd will qualify.
