TIFTON — Rental community Stone Ridge Cottages hopes to find a home in Tifton as much as provide one back to those in that community.

Having begun development in 2023, the staff of Stone Ridge marked the completion of construction on the property, as well as joining the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce, with a ribbon cutting the morning of Aug. 26.

Located just down the road from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and sporting 77 total units, the rental community offers studios, apartments across six buildings, and one-, two-, or three-bedroom cottages, as well as amenities like a community pool, pet-friendly residence options, and lawn care for the cottage properties.

Moving ahead, they hope to continue strengthening their connection with the community by getting their name out and assuring potential residents that they’ll have a place to call home at Stone Ridge.

“I know people are aware that we’re there, but we’re not the first name that comes to mind right now because we’re new,” said Hanna Weeks, manager for the community’s constructor, Brian Stone Construction. “We would like to be the first people to come to mind when anyone thinks of where they might feel comfortable for their college student to live, or where their retired parents move to, or where they might feel comfortable starting a family at.”

Weeks also reported that the rental community plans to hold more events in the future at the on-site clubhouse.

Stone Ridge Cottages is located at 32 Stoneridge Drive and still has properties available. For more information or to schedule a tour, contact 229-300-1686 or stoneridgecottages@gmail.com.
