TIFTON — Residents of Tifton looking for help in planning a getaway are sure to be in great hands with the city’s newly opened travel agency.

Discover Life Vacations recently opened its doors eager to offer the community support in working out their ideal vacations, providing both domestic and worldwide booking for anything from theme parks and tropical destinations to ocean and river cruises.

Alongside more than a decade of experience, owner Amanda Flener and her husband John are incredibly well-traveled, often visiting several of the places they’ve helped others organize trips to. In turn, this has helped them foster good relationships with popular travel destinations, which they’re certain will help their customers plan out the best vacations possible.

Originally operating out of their home office in Fitzgerald, Flener decided to make the move to the Friendly City, hoping to fill a need here and get to know the community a little better.

“We just felt like this would be a good move — Tifton didn’t have a storefront travel agency for as long as I can remember,” Flener said. “Of course, we have hundreds of clients around the country, and we obviously have clients already in Tifton, but I felt like we would be good for Tifton and Tifton would be good for us.”

Discover Life staff held a ribbon cutting in conjunction with the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce in celebration of the opening of their new location.

Additionally, Flener reported that the agency would be organizing giveaways for customers booking trips and cruises with them, and encouraged them to keep an eye on their Facebook page for more deals and programs in partnership with their suppliers.
