TIFTON — Local comic and collectibles store Gray Ghost Comics will be celebrating its fifth anniversary this weekend.

Community members are invited to celebrate the store’s birthday Sep. 7 with a collection of in-store deals and special guest appearances throughout the day.

Much of the shop’s wares will be on sale, including 20% off back issues, statues, and records, 30% off toys and graphic novels, and a buy-one-get-one half off deal for all Funko Pops.

Artists Bryan SilverbaX and Evan Warren, comic artist and illustrator Jason Flowers, local author Jess L.M. Anderson, animator Carlos Mendieta, and writer, editor, and letterer Steve Ekstrom are expected to stop in at the store for a meet and greet event.

Gray Ghost will also be offering a blind bag campaign, inviting customers to purchase one of thirty bags which will each contain a random collection of store merchandise, coupons, or gift certificates, as well as the potential for original art drawn by Mendieta.

The blind bags will be made available for $25, but Gray Ghost reports each will be a minimum $80 value.

Additionally, the store will be offering hourly giveaways on rare collectibles and comics.

The celebration will be free and open to the public, and will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, contact Gray Ghost at (229) 402-3724.
