TIFTON — Auto broker ATC Auto opened its doors in the heart of Downtown Tifton the morning of Oct. 4, revved up to begin providing its services to the Tiftarea community.

Working in collaboration with prominent auto brands like Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, and Lincoln, the business helps facilitate trades for these dealerships and transport their vehicles across the mainland U.S.

Having worked in the field for around eight years, owner Alexis Willis Gibson decided to strike out for herself earlier this year after feeling a call to do so through her faith. Now, she’s eager to work hard with the opportunity given to her to build her business, provide the community an important service, and leave a positive impact on Downtown Tifton.

“The Lord has blessed me; He has opened doors that I would have never imagined,” Gibson said. “If you were to ask me if I would be here five years ago, I would have told you, ‘No.’ But God’s ways are better than ours.”

Staff of ATC, the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce, and Gibson’s family members, friends, and loved ones, some of whom had come from out of town or even out of state to offer her congratulations, gathered before the storefront for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening and ATC joining the local chamber.

Afterwards, guests were invited inside the establishment for refreshments.

Gibson expressed an interest in supporting the community as much as she could moving forward, such as by donating to local food banks and adopting families during the holiday season. 

Indeed, the auto broker has already begun giving back by lending a helping hand in the chamber’s annual golf tournament Oct. 7.
