Down 5-3 to begin the fourth, Cloe Sercer and McKenna Graham worked walks. Back up at the top of the order, Summer Gray doubled in Sercer and runners were on second and third with one out. Coley Beth Croft grounded out to tie the game before Raelyn Owen’s single brought in Gray for a 6-5 lead.
The first bit of insurance in the fifth was a Carmen Corkern groundout that plated Calla Joyner.
Croft brought in Gray in the sixth with a triple. Tiftarea took advantage of another RBI groundout, this one by Owens to have all the lead they needed at 9-5.
Brookwood got a runner on to start the seventh, but Gray got the next batter to line to Corkern to start a double play.
Joyner and Owens each had two hits. Croft and Maggie Vickery had two RBIs apiece. Tiftarea stole seven bases, three by Owens.
