TIFTON — Now that it’s boasting a brand new coat of paint and then some, Legacy Village of Tifton is ready more than ever to continue serving the senior community of the Tiftarea.
The senior and memory care service partnered with the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce to hold a ribbon cutting Nov. 7 in honor of the recent completion of their third renovation project and in celebration of their long and continued presence of nearly twenty years in the local community.
Legacy Village of Tifton executive director Alana Sirmans reported that the restorations included the installation of a new roof, an overhaul of the courtyard area, and a new paint job, furniture, and carpet, ensuring that the facility will be able to provide top-notch care and treatment to its residents for years to come.
Along with the ribbon cutting, community members and the facility’s residents were invited to join the staff for a celebratory luncheon, enter a raffle for various prizes, including a Yeti cooler, travel mug and gift card to Fresco Italiano, and hear a few words from the leaders of Legacy and the greater community.
Sirmans praised the efforts of her staff and management team, thanking them for their endless service to Legacy Village of Tifton and its residents.
Bryan Cook, co-founder and president of Legacy Senior Living, the facility’s parent company, also had plenty of thanks to offer the staff of Legacy Village of Tifton for giving their residents as much love and care as they could.
“Sometimes, people don’t see all of the extra things you do for our seniors to love them, take care of them, serve them,” Cook said. “Even on the hard days, you loving and taking care of these people … it really, really matters.”
Cook also expressed immense pride for the Tifton facility, noting it was one of the first buildings in the company, has remained a part of the surrounding community for over 18 years, and has inherited the heart of the Tiftarea community and helped bring that love and care to other branches of Legacy.
Mayor Julie Smith in turn thanked Legacy for showing such a strong commitment to their community, both internally and the surrounding area, for so many years.
Guests were encouraged to tour the facility with the guidance of a staff member, and were provided gifts such as mugs, pens, tote bags, and other assorted merchandise, in celebration of the occasion.
Legacy Village of Tifton is located at 1934 Whiddon Mill Road, and is open 24/7. For more information, contact (229)386-2773 or visit their website at legacytifton.net.
