TIFTON — After a first year of success in Tifton, local liquor store Hometown 41 elected to celebrate their first anniversary in style this past Monday.

The fine wine, beer, and spirits store commemorated its first full year of business the morning of Dec. 2, inviting the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce and members of the community to join them for a ribbon cutting in honor of the anniversary.

Located across from ABAC and along the US highway of its namesake, Hometown 41 is a locally owned liquor store that prides itself on being Tifton’s “go-to destination” for a fine selection of wine, beer, and spirits.

In celebration of the first anniversary, guests of the ribbon cutting were provided donuts and coffee as refreshments, and store patrons were treated to 20% off of wine and cigar products.

Owner Carla Dodson, the former owner of Tifton’s Firehouse Subs, expressed satisfaction and pride with the preceding year, content with how the store had performed. She announced that Hometown 41 would instate a point system starting in January, which would award customers with points that they could redeem on later purchases for discounts.

In addition, she aimed to begin a program that would ask customers to make small donations on their purchases to provide funding to the local police and fire department at the end of each year, which would also begin come January.

Hometown 41 is located at 2280 US Highway 41, and is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, contact (229) 520-5833.
