Blue Devils win at Coffee Christmas Invitational

DOUGLAS — Tift County’s boys won the Coffee Trojan Christmas Invitational Saturday while the girls team had to settle for second place.

The Blue Devils had 93 points to more that double Coffee, which was second at 37. The Lady Devils scored 82 points, 31 points behind Richmond Hill, but well ahead of third place Colquitt County (24). Tift did have the most combined points of any school, 175. Richmond Hill was second in that category at 143.

Top 10 finishers for Tift were:

— Boys 200 medley relay: 1st, 7th and 9th.

— Girls 200 medley relay: 2nd and 7th.

— Boys 200 freestyle: Rocky Faw (5th), James Fresh (6th) and Nolan Miller (8th).

— Girls 200 freestyle: Kendall Sasser (2nd), Madison Schwartz (6th) and Haley Hooks (7th).

— Boys 200 individual medley: Brock Alexion (4th), Davis Kunes (5th), Jay Ross (6th) and Wyatt Keith (7th).

— Girls 200 individual medley: Jovia Burke (2nd), Lauren Maag (5th) and Rachel Spurlin (6th)

— Boys 50 freestyle: Faw (2nd).

— Girls 50 freestyle: Sasser (10th).

— Boys 100 butterfly: Chase Walker (2nd), Aiden Thrasher (5th), Fresh (7th), Dillan White (8th) and Jace Howell (10th).

— Girls 100 butterfly: Hannah Grace Murphy (10th).

— Boys 100 freestyle: Brayden Rowland (4th) and Alexion (7th).

— Girls 100 freestyle: Burke (1st), Maag (6th) and Spurlin (10th).

— Boys 500 freestyle: Larkin Saylor (2nd), Thrasher (3rd) and Rylan Pearman (9th).

— Girls 500 freestyle: Raylee Walker (1st), Schwartz (2nd), Morgan Brey (4th) and McKensie Law (5th).

— Boys 200 freestyle relay: 2nd and 9th.

— Girls 200 freestyle relay: 3rd and 10th.

— Boys 100 backstroke: Walker (2nd), Kunes (6th), Ethan Van Orman (7th), Kason Layfield (8th) and White (9th).

— Boys 100 breaststroke: Rowland (2nd), Keith (6th), Ross (7th), Kason Flowers (8th) and Saylor (9th).

— Girls 100 breaststroke: Murphy (5th) and Lexi Smith (10th).
