TIFTON — As its first event of 2025, the Tift Theatre will hold a Karaoke Fest the evening of Jan. 3, encouraging the community to stop by and sing a song or two to celebrate the new year in style.
Patrons will have over 50,000 songs across various genres to select for their serenade, as reported by theatre manager Kezia Larry, with karaoke DJ Hunter Holton providing them the tunes to sing along to.
Savor the Flavor and Catering by Gush are also expected to participate, offering guests food and refreshments during the festivities.
Larry hopes the event will remind the community of the theatre’s place in Tifton as an event space and a source of entertainment, and is eager to promote and host further events down the road.
Indeed, the theatre is expected to play host to a Masked Singer competition in February as well, with auditions to decide the eight competitors in the event to be held the evenings of Jan. 14 and 16. Only residents 16 and older may enter.
Tickets for Karaoke Fest may be purchased at the door the night of the event or online through PurplePass, which can be accessed via the Tift Theatre’s Facebook page or their page on the City of Tifton website.
