Lending a Hand: Wiregrass Resource Group opens office in Downtown Tifton

Mark and Lynn Reed have long shared a passion for helping others, which became a major factor in the creation of Wiregrass. Reed expressed a particular honor in being able to serve those in his community who may require a helping hand.
TIFTON — Staff of employment agency Wiregrass Resource Group gathered together along 3rd St the morning of Jan. 16 to celebrate the grand opening of their new office location in Downtown Tifton.
Started in 2017 by husband and wife duo Mark and Lynn Reed through their passion for helping others, the employment company focuses on supporting the efforts of disabled individuals in acquiring and retaining work, beginning with their very first client coming right out of the Friendly City.
“We have the privilege of serving and helping people that may not be able to help themselves at a certain time in their life–that’s a privilege to us,” Mark Reed said. “We take that personally here; we don’t do failure here. We like to see our clients successful, to be a part of their success.”
Alongside hiring services, Wiregrass lends its support to and collaborates with other organizations across the state, including the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency. Lynn Reed also noted that the business would offer copying, faxing, and notary services.
While the agency at first operated out of an office in Ashburn, the growing needs of the business quickly required a larger space, leading to the recent relocation. Reed was confident the new space will allow for increased onboard staff in vital administrative and support positions.
Members of the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce were happy to celebrate the move to Downtown Tifton, aiding the business’s staff in holding a ribbon cutting ceremony to make things official.
Reed proudly introduced and thanked all of his staff and colleagues present for the business’s new chapter, attesting that their efforts had helped Wiregrass get to this point.
Afterwards, guests of the ceremony were invited inside for refreshments and offered gift bags on their way out.
Moving ahead, Reed expressed an expectation that much of the agency’s future growth would be outward rather than upward, with plans to focus on expanding the services Wiregrass could offer and increasing the range of their partnerships with other organizations.
Wiregrass Resource Group is located at 117 East 3rd St, and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. For more information, contact (844)947-4727.
