TIFTON — For those in need of somewhere warm to go during the winter storm, Tift County’s Emergency Management Agency has opened a warming station, which it said will be open until further notice.

The location is the Tift County Multi-Purpose Building, located at 401 N. Victory Dr.

Tift’s EMA encourages those needing to stay at the warming station to bring personal items, such as blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, food and medications.

The warming station is not pet-friendly.
