Area residents graduate from GSW
AMERICUS — The following area residents were among 588 students who earned an undergraduate or graduate degree from Georgia Southwestern State University during the Fall 2024 Commencement Ceremony held on Thursday, Dec. 12 in the Convocation Hall of the Student Success Center.
— Richard Ayscue of Tifton earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing.
— Nelida Bautista of Tifton earned a master’s degree in elementary education.
— Marley Whitley of Tifton earned a master’s degree in elementary education.
— Arthur Sigmund of Tifton earned a master’s degree in special education.
— Andi Mathis of Tifton earned a Master of Science in Nursing in nursing informatics.
— Kloe Daughtry of Tifton earned a specialist degree in elementary education.
— Levie Walsh of Tifton earned a specialist degree in elementary education.
— Amber Winter of Tifton earned a specialist degree in elementary education.
Georgia Southwestern State University president’s list
AMERICUS — The following local residents made the Fall 2024 president’s list at Georgia Southwestern State University and were among 845 students recognized for scholastic achievement.
To be eligible for the president’s list, a student must earn a semester GPA of 4.0 and take a minimum of 12 credit hours.
Area students include:
Tifton: Aubrey Traughber, Hannah Abell, Kara Ball, Tamyra Carter, Faith Connell, Shelby Harper.
Georgia College & State University dean’s list
MILLEDGEVILLE — Georgia College & State University recognizes its students from the College of Arts & Sciences for making the dean’s list for the fall 2024 semester.
Georgia College salutes all of its students who made the dean’s list for their outstanding efforts. To earn distinction on the dean’s list, students must achieve a minimum 3.5 GPA for the semester.
