TIFTON — With rain anticipated for Friday, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College has made adjustments for the opening weekend of baseball games.

Saturday, the Stallions start their season at 1 p.m. against Johnson of Tennessee. At 3:30 p.m., ABAC sits and Point University plays Johnson. The day ends with ABAC taking on Point.

Sunday is a noon start. Point plays Johnson, with ABAC taking on Johnson at 2:30 p.m.

The weekend will be a series of debuts for the Stallions. They are playing their first NAIA contests, and their first under new head coach Blake Williams. Williams came over during the summer from Andrew College.

ABAC has stacked its roster with Georgia talent, with plenty from southern Georgia. Cam Smith, fresh off his region title with the Tift County Blue Devils, will suit up for the Stallions, as will Lalan Ellis of Worth County, Landon Kight of Fitzgerald, Cook’s Kaleb Stephens and Lowndes’ Luke Register and Cooper Scruggs.
