TIFTON — Assisted living community The Homestead at Grace Manor held its grand opening Jan. 30, partnering with the local chamber of commerce and several local businesses to celebrate in style.
Providing a multitude of care services to elderly residents of Tifton, including meals, medication management, transportation to and from healthcare appointments, and 24/7 onsite staff, the establishment has been undergoing remodeling and updating since the change in ownership in October 2023 to The Homestead company, an assisted living business with five locations across South Georgia.
Misty Grantham, operations manager of Grace Manor — one of the two branches in Tifton, along with Bradley Place — reported that the facility had been working to expand the activities they could offer to their residents as part of the renovations.
To celebrate the reopening under their new management, Grantham and the facility not only organized a ribbon cutting in partnership with the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce, but collaborated with a few local businesses to hold a party for the occasion.
Attendants of the facility’s festivities could enjoy facepainting, spa treatments from Lemongrass Spa, a loaded tea from nutritional juice bar Daily Dose Nutrition, and a hearty lunch from 3 Beards BBQ, who had their truck parked out in front of the manor.
Grace Manor also hosted a raffle program, giving guests a chance to win several prizes, including cups, a cake from Giggles Cafe, and gift baskets, by marking a bingo card off through visiting each stall from the participating businesses.
Grantham expressed interest in continuing to expand the services and activities the assisted living community would be able to provide its residents, as well as strengthening the facility’s connection with the community, and she hoped to be able to provide greater care to the elderly members of the local community in the future.
The Homestead at Grace Manor is located at 405 N. Ridge Ave. and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For more information, contact (229) 387-0940.
