Tift County soccer has double shutout

TIFTON — Tuesday was more like it for Tift County soccer teams. The Blue Devils and Lady Devils each recorded a shutout over Cook to raise their records to 1-1.
Friday, they are to travel to arch-rival Colquitt County. They have a road game Feb. 25 at Perry before coming home Feb. 28 to meet Camden County.
The Lady Devils won 10-0 over Cook.
Head coach Irvin Alvarez said both Jordyn Shivers and Amy Deleon scored hat tricks. Kylie Garretson had two goals and Sigrid Martinez and Aaliyah Rodriguez accounted for the others.
Garretson and goalkeeper Diana Reducindo had assists apiece. Others helping on goals were Dleon, Shivers, Bailey Vice and Caroline Dotson.
Bobby Earls said his team scored all of its goals in the first 20 minutes of their 4-0 victory.
Goals were split between Brock Hardin, Osvaldo Silos, Juan Rodriguez and Jose Palomares. Jordan Lopez had two assists.
