TIFTON — Bicyclers will fill Tifton’s roads this Saturday as the 15th annual Ilse Boyette Memorial Bike Ride/Tour De Tifton makes its return.

Riders hit the roads at 8 a.m. after checking in from 7-7:30 a.m. at the Tiftarea YMCA’s Hunt Park Campus. The Tiftarea YMCA sponsors this event each year.

Courses range from 11 miles to 100 miles, which include a 48.5-mile mixed track of dirt and pavement.

While most courses are completely contained within Tift County, the 100-mile course will take riders into Turner County, through Shingler and all the way to Rebecca. The 62-mile course also veers into Turner, going through Shingler and Sycamore.

Riders on extended courses can find refreshments at a number of rest areas. All courses will be on northern Tift County roads.

The Tour De Tifton has increased in popularity every years, with some participants coming from far beyond Georgia.
