ALBANY — Owen Davies and Russ Benton were 1-2 Saturday in the 1,600 meters as Tift County took its track and field show on the road to the L.C. Smith and Winfred Benson Relays at Hugh Mills Stadium.

Davies ran in 4:40 and Benton was on his tail, finishing in 4:41. The top five runners ran within six seconds of one another.

Saturday was a banner day for Nairobi Graham, who won the 200 in 25.19 seconds, and the 400 in 57.63 seconds.

Jaxson Hughes earned the win in pole vault at 11-3. The boys 4×200 crew won their race in 1:31.06, a hair ahead of Coffee at 1:31.29.

Jamari Johnson tied Valdosta’s Jamir Bradley in high jump at 6-6, but Bradley got the overall nod with fewer misses.

Also scoring in the top eight were:

— Boys 100: Marshall Howard (5th).

— Girls 100 hurdles: Aziyah Lockett (8th).

— Boys 110 hurdles: Jordan Gaskins (3rd).

— Boys 200: Marshall Howard (6th).

— Boys 300 hurdles: Gaskins (4th).

— Girls 400: Illianna Cleveland (6th) and Nakia Pierce (8th).

— Boys 800: Anthony Falotico (5th).

— Girls 800: Emmalyn Lukas (8th).

— Girls 4×200: 2nd.

— Boys 4×800: 3rd.

— Boys shot put: Peyton Hipps (8th).
