TIFTON — Residents of Tifton and surrounding areas are invited to celebrate the grand opening of the Tifton Farmers Market Spring Season at 9 a.m. April 5 in Tift Gardens located in downtown Tifton.

This event will mark the official launch of a vibrant community hub where local farmers, artisans, and food enthusiasts can connect and enjoy fresh, seasonal produce, homemade baked good, handcrafted items, and more, the farmers market said in a press release.

The event will feature: 

— Fresh Local Produce: Sample the bounty of the season with a wide array of fruits, vegetables, and herbs grown right here in south Georgia.

— Handcrafted Goods: Discover unique and locally made crafts, including baked goods, jams, honey, and other artisanal products.

— Community Gathering: Enjoy live music, family-friendly activities, and a chance to connect with your neighbors and the local community.

— Special Grand Opening Events: The official ribbon cutting will take place at 9 a.m. with live music by Lizz Faith all morning. Sprouts Storytime for all children will be held at 10 a.m. with kid’s craft table and yard games available all morning as well. 

“We are so excited for our first spring season in downtown Tifton. We were overwhelmed by the support we received in the fall as we opened the market. This season we will have even more vendors and activities planned for families and friends to gather on Saturdays,” said Randi Hickman, market manager of the Tifton Farmers Market.

The Tifton Farmers Market is a community-focused initiative dedicated to supporting local farmers and artisans while providing residents with access to fresh, healthy food and unique, handcrafted goods. The market will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon April 5 through July 26.
