TIFTON — The annual arts gala from the Tifton Council for the Arts is set to make a return to Tifton next week.

The arts council will be hosting “An Evening for the Arts Gala” at the Syd Blackmarr Arts Center April 24, inviting the community to join them for a night of fine dining, fine company, and of course, the fine arts.

Patrons will be treated to live entertainment, including musical accompaniment and plein air painters, and gourmet cuisine as they commune, converse, and celebrate the arts throughout the evening. A pair of artists, Allen Fuller and Antron Johnson, will have their art on display and be available for questions and discussion.

Like with previous years, the gala will be accompanied by an assortment of auctions and raffles, including a live auction that will put the works of three student artists and the plein air painters, among other items, up for bid; a silent auction with original art by several local artists, including paintings of the Syd’s stained glass windows; and a reverse raffle to be held at the end of the night.

Entrants in this raffle will have a chance to win either a four-night stay for six in a designer villa in Tulum, Mexico, and $5,000 or a cash prize of $10,000.

The gala will be next Thursday from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is $150, and tickets can be purchased online via the Tifton Council for the Arts website.
