BUFORD — North Forsyth edged Tift County Saturday afternoon to end Christmas tournament season for the Lady Devils. The Class 6A No. 1 and undefeated Lady Raiders won by the closest of margins, 48-47.

Tift County had a 31-22 halftime lead, but saw their opponents pull to a 34-34 tie to enter the 4th period.

Top scorers for Tift were Jimmya Cushion with 18 points and Caitlyn Burgess with 17. The Lady Devils knocked down nine three-pointers.

Both Tift girls and boys will be back in action Tuesday at home against Coffee. Varsity opening tip is set for 6 p.m.
