THOMASVILLE — Tiftarea Academy basketball teams split with Brookwood School of Thomasville Friday, Jan. 20.

The Lady Panthers won their 3rd region game of the year, 53-38. The Panthers were defeated in an 82-40 contest.

Elli Bryan led Tiftarea’s charge against the Lady Warriors with 20 points and Livi Mullis added 12. Ali Strenth and Amelia Mercer scored 5 points each, with Mercer hitting a big 3-pointer in the 4th quarter.

Tiftarea’s boys got 13 from J.R. Walker in their game. Carter Cook added 8 points and Cubbie Crosson contributed 7.
