Friendly City Pharmacy has revealed a new UGA bulldog statue. The statue is called “ReX” and can be seen facing U.S. Highway 41 in front of the pharmacy. ReX is the 18th bulldog statue to be placed in Tifton. The bulldog statues originally appeared in 2018 as a way to celebrate UGA Tifton’s 100th anniversary. Friendly City Pharmacy is located at 1202 U.S. Highway 41 in Tifton.

Dollar General on Ferry Lake Road; new convenience store on Tift Avenue

Tift County property records have identified that land is being cleared for a new Dollar General store at 1103 Ferry Lake Road. Also, Tift County property records show that land being cleared at 1602 N. Tift Ave. will be for a convenience store. A name for the convenience store has not be given. Opening dates have not been announced for the convenience store or the Dollar General on Ferry Lake Road.

Simmons Family Chiropractic moves

Simmons Family Chiropractic has moved locations. The chiropractic office can now be found at 215 E. 4th St. in Tifton. The office can be contacted at (229) 388-9339.

South Georgia Bank administration moves

The administration offices for South Georgia Banking Company have also moved.

They can now be found at the corner of 10th Street and Central Avenue. South Georgia Banking Company also has three banking locations in Tifton: 726 W. 2nd St., 2005 N. Tift Ave. and 5515 Alabama Ave.
