NASHVILLE — Nancy Sumner, 58, of Nashville, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne Boykin and the Rev. Randy Shelton officiating.
Mrs. Sumner was born Sept. 19, 1949, in Berrien County, the daughter of Walter Brantley and Hazel Futch Brantley, both deceased. In addition, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Faye, who died in 1974. She was a homemaker and was employed with Nashville Mills in the finishing department.
She is survived by her husband, Randall Sumner of Nashville; a son, Scotty (Wanda) Sumner of Ray City; a daughter, Tonya (Dewayne) Morey of Nashville; three step-daughters, Rhonda (Jackie) Porter and Robin Sumner, both of Morven, and Kathy Jewell of Baxley; a sister, Janet Chouinard of Brunswick; a brother, Johnny (Sarah) Brantley of Ray City, and grandchildren Logan and Evan Sumner, Ashley Brogdon, Rachel and Samantha Hutchinson, Jeffrey Toler, Austin Sexton and Tony Porter.
Memorial are requested to the Tift Regional Foundation or a charity of choice. Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
